Oamaru Wows TVNZ

The TVNZ nightly news programme Seven Sharp awarded Oamaru the distinction of being New Zealand’s sharpest town last month, and in recognition of that honour today they broadcast from Oamaru’s historic precinct. The show ended up being a great summary of many of the things that make Oamaru such a great place to live–and to visit, starting with a “ride” down the new Alps2Ocean bike trail, then interviewing people who relocated to Oamaru from elsewhere before moving on to speak with people involved in the arts, farming, and Steampunk, along with a walk among the beautiful heritage buildings that line our streets. By all accounts, Oamaru did a great job presenting itself as New Zealand’s smartest town, but don’t let me tell you–watch for yourself by clicking on the links below:
