Oamaru Wheelman Returns!

After an epic journey on a 54-inch penny farthing bicycle that took 52 days and covered more than 2000 km, David Wilson made a triumphant return to his hometown of Oamaru today, appearing at the Oamaru Farmers’ Market at 11am to gala welcome hosted by the Waitaki District Mayor and attended by scores of well-wishers. Here is Wheelman David Wilson himself, thanking his supporters and describing a bit about his journey, as filmed by our friends at the Tourism Waitaki office.
