Victorian Fete

Since Oamaru is NZ’s “Victorian Town” it is only fitting that it should hold an annual festival celebrating its Victorian heritage. This festival takes place every November and culminates with a gala fete that takes over the entire historic precinct with stalls, performers, foods, and other period activities. The fete draws visitors from all over, and is truly a unique feature of Oamaru life. But you really need to see it to understand what it’s like, so here are some photos for you to enjoy!
